Tyler's Take: I Dread Abandoning My Career for Bali
I've BASICALLY learned the ad industry working for the same brand over 10 years. For the last two, I've transitioned from freelancer to on-site contractor, which's allowed me to work next to some amazing people…and that makes it REAL hard to walk away from it all.
It just leaves you with question on question on question that I can't shake. Why is nobody else I work with doing this? Will I ever have a job again? Can I ever go back? Will people even care I'm gone? Will they find Tyler 2.0? Did they even want a Tyler 1.0? Will I be starting over? What if I come back but don't have a tan, will people accuse me of making this whole trip up?
These are just a few of the thoughts I have while filing up my water bottle. After that, I've got the next 23 hours, 59 minutes of the day to sink into Game of Throne fan theories.
